Verde Implementation Librarian
The Verde electronic resource management [ERM] system is the latest in the Ex Libris suite of tools that assist libraries and information centers in managing electronic resources throughout their life cycle.
The Verde ERM system addresses the new challenges posed by the proliferation of e-resources within libraries by offering a single point of administration and a comprehensive solution for managing the complex and multidimensional relationships that characterize such resources. Verde is scheduled to go into general release in Q3 of 2005.The Verde Implementation Librarian will work with new customers in North American to implement their solutions, to provide customer training and to provide support services. Location:
The position will be based in our Newton, MA, office. Travel will be required; initial training may involve several weeks of international travel.
Your work will include:
Assisting in the installation of the Verde product including running pre-installation checks to ensure correct server setup, working with customers to configure the server correctly for the installation, coordinating the actual installation and performing post-installation checks
Working with colleagues on the Verde team in Israel, developing Web-based as well as face-to-face instructional programs
Providing training to new customers on how to use Verde
Providing first-line support for Verde administrators at customer sites, both during and after product implementation

Troubleshooting and debugging software

With the ongoing rapid expansion of sales, Ex Libris is seeking a Support Librarian to join a team responsible for the successful deployment of the SFX reference linking technology on a global basis.
This includes support of the new SFX Express, planned for release in Q1, 2005, as well as Ex Libris' ASP hosted environment for SFX. Your work will include:
Providing first-line support for SFX administrators at customer sites on the tools available for local configuration of an SFX server, both during and after product implementation.

Assisting customers with configuration and activation of their local resources within SFX; setting up new SFX sources and targets.
